Anyone use Heroku? If so, what is your opinion on it?

Hey, I saw your tool and it seems very useful but I was wondering if there's a function to "reverse" a patch, or if you'd be willing to include one. Basically provide an unpatched file, a patched one,...
vectorman
Thanks. I can add it to the issue tracker for you. Once I get a few other things finished, I'll see if I can get that added for you.
vectorman
Reverse patching is probably going to show up in the next couple of updates.

Two shots of the current state of IPS Peek v0.5 (coming soon). The top shows a disabled patch record, and how it affects the data view (the data view shows the file with patched data). The bottom shot...

Also, I am not sure about this part, but is it possible to convert binary to ASM? Say i compile and patch in a simple asm code. Is it possible to code your tool to rip this? Theoretically, one could directly recover ASM from a patch if source code was lost.

I have looked into the idea of disassembling patches. I know for sure it can be done if a patch and a file are opened at the same time (as shown in the picture above.) I think there could be issues in some cases when just relying on the patch alone for disassembling.

Settings dialog for IPS Peek v0.5 (WIP).
vectorman
In order to get cooler features out first, I've postponed the settings dialog for now. It will probably show up in v0.6 or later.

Working on some patch-related stuff; it's an experiment. I'll post the link when it's done (in a few weeks, hopefully).
