Well, it's definitely better in this front than the original - but that wouldn't be hard, given that it's a s**ty Hoenn song.

well not sure whether or not that's a compliment or an insult. the song its self i worked with from both scratch and a base. most of it was completely overhauled and the rest was done by hand a note at a time.

It's a compliment for your skills in doing this - but an insult directed towards the original song, which is IMO pretty poor.

the song itself was meant for a better quality than the AGB could yeild. so yes, even with that in mind, they really messed the song up. the rival battle was good even by AGB standards, but still felt empty as well.

No, I just mean I think it's a bad song. A poor composition. This would still be bad played back in 8 bit because the song is inherently bad.

Although having said that, this is actually one of the few songs from Gen 3 I can tolerate.

There's still some elements in the sequence that sound too similar to the one from B2W2. If it was Game Freak, they would've made it completely different from this one.

yes, some parts from the b2w2 version were recycled. some elements from the hoenn white hack were recycled. everything else was scratch made. it was a redily avalible midi, had many parts that had to be custom done, and i felt it was a good concept for the job. i then pulled the samples from platinu...
